Hi, I was wondering what is the consequeces of not being able to find Azar Javed inpersonating Raymon in the quest Vizima Confidential? (meaning kill Ramsmeat or inframe Kalkstein)

I've heard that the book which contains Alzur's Shield spell will be taken by Azar in that case. Does it mean that Geralt will be killed by Azar without the protection of Alzur's Shield in Chapter III? If not, how does Geralt survive the spell from Azar? (Azar can really kill our witcher with just one spell)

If Triss could cast the Alzur's Shield spell, so does Azar (provided he got the book). Does that mean it will be more difficult to defeat Azar later in the game?

I really don't want to start the game again... thx:laugh:

So far as I know, there aren't any consequences. The end of the quest and the rest of the campaign will play out the same no matter who you find guilty.

thanks for the answer.

But i really find some walkthrough which indicate that there would be a big difference.

say 'When you go outside, Azar Javed will expose himself before you and take the book that you found.'

'Flashback: When Azar tries to kill you at the end of his speech, you’ll be saved by Alzur’s Shield – a spell cast by Triss on you. You found this spell yourself, before fighting Javed in Chapter II – it’s a result of a good performance in Q2.49. The Autopsy of a Crime.'

I do remember someone said if Azar took the book in Chapter II, the professor would have the Alzur's shield instead of Geralt. (can't remember where)
