Did we miss anything during this quest? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!
Aleswell is on the Red Ring Road north of the Imperial City. When you get there it appears deserted. You need to use a spell, magic ring or anything that enables you to detect living creatures from a distance, such as the
Amulet of Abetment. Go and talk to the glowing spots and you will eventually find the innkeeper, Diram Segethi. He'll tell you that all the villagers have been made invisible by a wizard called Ancotar. He is to be found at Fort Caractacus, which is a little south of Aleswell at the end of a short road that you can see on your map.
You will soon find Ancotar's room up the steps in the fort, but there is no sign of him. He's also invisible, so you have to use the requisite charm or spell to locate him. Once you do, threaten him with a weapon, and he will admit he's made a mistake. He'll give you a ring, which you must wear while casting the
Reverse Invisibility Scroll, which he will also give you.
Go back to Aleswell, put on the ring, and use the scroll in the middle of the village. All the villagers will re-appear. If you talk to Diram Serethi, he will thank you and offer you free accommodation any time you are passing. Should you happen to visit Fort Caractacus again Ancotar will also thank you for making the villagers visible, as it is now easier for him to avoid them.
