These stations are only useful if you've triggered one of Rapture's alarms and have wave after wave of security bots hunting you down. When that happens, simply deposit twenty dollars into the machine to cancel the alarm timer and to cause all dispatched bots to fall to the ground in a disabled state. This gives you the perfect opportunity to hack yourself a couple of new friends.
