The Hit Point, Poison Resistance, Radiation Resistance, and Healing Rate secondary statistics are based on Endurance, which also modifies the starting level of your character’s Outdoorsman skill. Endurance is used by the computer in combat to see if you can resist the effects of some critical hits (like blows to the head) and not get knocked down, or knocked out.
