Evaluation: Cheap to cast and does relatively high damage early in the game. Affects targets one tile in front of the party only.

Enchant Shock Arrow |

Upgrades: N/A
Evaluation: Enchants any arrows or quarrels you place in the Mage's hands. Useful for giving your ranged attacks more power, but must be repeated as the charge only lasts until a given quarrel or arrow hits an enemy.

Lightning Bolt |
Required Level: Air Magic 14
Upgrades: Greater Lightning Bolt (Air Magic 27)
Evaluation: The most damaging direct damage spell from the mid-game onward, with the possible exception of Fireball. The upgrade makes it even more deadly, and capable of doing over 200 damage to enemies.

Upgrades: N/A
Evaluation: An interesting spell that opens up new tactics, mostly for avoiding combat or escaping it. Use it to get to a better tactical position or to get past a tough foe.

Shock Shield |

Upgrades: N/A
Evaluation: Provides +35 Resist Shock. A significant bonus, as there are few ways to gain Resist Shock otherwise, and powerful late-game enemies like Goromorgs use Lightning Bolt.
