Dark Souls III "The Witches" Animated Trailer

Bandai Namco has published a new animated trailer for Dark Souls III, titled The Witches. It was directed by Eli Roth (Hostel, Knock Knock) and doesn't seem to be directly based on the game's plot. Instead, Roth opted to tell a story that would fit the tone and borrow some of the imagery of the series:
Personally, I can't help but feel that this is slightly off-beat when compared to what we've seen so far of Dark Souls III (if anything, the image of the witches and the oniric transitions remind me of Dark Souls II), but it's certainly a more interesting experiment than the Slashy Souls mobile tie-in.
