- traps: At this point, the radial names and submenus only show up when you cursor over them (eventually this will be a preference you can set in an options menu) so that might be why the trap submenu wasn't displaying. Alternatively, that particular submenu may not have been implemented at the time of the screenshot (it is now, mind you).
I won't go into the details regarding the specific traps you'll be encountering in NWN but I can discuss the interface a bit. Provided you have the appropriate skill, you will be able to assess, flag, disable, or recover any trap you find in the game world.
Assessing just gives some info about the trap and gives you an indication of how difficult it might be to perform the various other actions.
Flagging it renders it visible to other members of your party but leaves it otherwise intact.
Disabling the trap works the same as it did in Baldur's Gate.
Recovering a trap not only disables it but also converts it into a trap kit that you can either sell on the black market or set yourself to catch the unwary (it requires a different skill, mind you).
You can still assign custom trap scripts to triggers in the game world if you so like. The only caveat is that players may not be able to Recover them as trap kits....
