Morrowind: Bloodmoon Review

A finely crafted addition to last year's Morrowind, Bloodmoon keeps the engine running on the Elder Scrolls franchise and adds a few go-faster stripes for good measure. While there is irony in that phrase - it certainly won't be your frame rate going faster - running around the icy wilderness as a bloodthirsty werewolf is an experience that no fan of the series should miss. The new scenery is beautiful and harsh, its visual effect strong enough to evoke moments of wonderment, even with the high system requirements and long load times. That a wealth of side-missions, including the ongoing construction of a colony, exist to flesh out the experience is testament to Bethsoft's attention to detail and storytelling skill. By being more open-ended than Tribunal and more focused than Morrowind itself, Bloodmoon captures the best of both worlds.
