Sarah Boulian Interview

GameSpy continues with its second day of Dungeon Siege interviews, this time questioning Sarah Boulian of Gas Powered Games about the Siege editor:

GameSpy: The editor will include tools for creating your own movies and voice-overs. Give us a brief explanation of how that will work.

Sarah Boulian: Creating an NIS (Non-Interactive Sequence) is as simple as placing a few camera commands if you just want to, say, pan the camera around a bridge spanning an expansive gorge, or show off the details of an enemy's appearance. For more advanced scenes, like a heavily scripted battle sequence, we have a number of various commands that allow you to control character position, movement, animation, alignment, life state, etc.
