The latest development update for Fallout 76 directs us to the patch notes for the game's latest v11.5 patch, talks about the recent legendary loot adjustments, mentions the Meat Week event and its accompanying Double XP event, and offers a quick recap for the game's QuakeCon 2019 panel. Check it out:
We’ve returned from QuakeCon with an update on Legendary item drops, details on a new Double XP Event this weekend, a reminder about the new Meat Week Seasonal Event—which kicks off today, a quick recap of last weekend’s Fallout 76 developer panel, and our roadmap for Summer 2019. We’ve got a lot to cover, so let’s dig in!
LEGENDARY LOOT ADJUSTMENTS
In last week’s Inside the Vault, we mentioned that we were actively working to correct an issue affecting legendary loot. Since that time, we’ve been reviewing community feedback, monitoring legendary item drop data, and making adjustments. We’ve also tweaked the drop rates so that they’re more favorable toward 2- and 3-star legendary items. While you may see fewer 1-star legendary drops, you may notice that 2- and 3-star drops happen more frequently!
After analyzing our data both before and after these adjustments, we’ve seen that things are largely back to normal, especially when it comes to Legendary Scrip, which players are currently earning at pre-Patch 11 levels.
We will continue to monitor our data as well as your feedback about legendary drops and fine-tune as necessary. Please continue to share your experiences with legendary drops on the Fallout 76 forums and the FO76 subreddit.
WHO’S HUNGRY? IT’S MEAT WEEK!
We hope you saved your appetite, because the Meat Week Seasonal Event begins today at 12:00 p.m. EDT. Grahm’s planning to roast some tasty treats for all of his human friends, but he’s going to need your help—and a lot of meat—to throw a successful barbeque. Take down Prime Beasts at Primal Cuts Events to collect meat for the party, and then toss it on the grill at Grahm’s Meat-Cook Event to claim some Legendary Scrips. You can also complete a variety of activities during the Meat-Cook to make sure everyone has a good time and unlock some barbeque-themed goodies.
Meat Week lasts until 12:00 p.m. EDT on August 8, and you can learn even more about the event by reading today’s Patch 11.5 Notes on Fallout.com.
NEW DOUBLE XP EVENT STARTS TODAY!
In celebration of the beginning of Meat Week, we're kicking off a new Double XP Event today for Adventure and Survival Modes. Here are the details so you can level up with impunity when you're not busy helping Grahm at the grill:QUAKECON PANEL RECAP AND SUMMER ROADMAP

- Start: 12:00 p.m. EDT (16:00 UTC) on Thursday, August 1

Finally, we’re pleased to share that—thanks to the help of our wonderful QuakeCon community—the Fallout 76 hands-on booth successfully met our $10,000 fundraising goal for 1UpOnCancer almost a full day ahead of schedule. We’d like to thank everyone who stopped by the booth to play Nuclear Winter for a good cause this past weekend. We couldn’t have done it without your support!
