Flagship Studios has relaunched the official Hellgate: London website with a whole new look, new content, and a signup page for players interested in joining the game's beta test. In addition, there's now a pre-ordering FAQ in case you had some questions before buying a copy of the game:

Q: I live in the US. My friends live in Europe. Can we play with each other online in Hellgate: London?

A: Yes, although you will need to create a separate account for the US and European realms. While our server structure is much larger than traditional MMOs, it is divided by large geographical areas, requiring discreet databases and player server clusters. Of course, with free play in both the US and Europe, it's a simple matter to have characters no matter on which side of the Atlantic you're playing.
