Unconfirmed: Mars Development on Hold

Critical Gamer claims to have word from Spiders' Jehanne Rousseau that their action RPG Mars is on hold due to lack of finances, though they intend to release a smaller project on the PC, Xbox Live Marketplace, and PlayStation Network later this year.

(The past year has been just horrible on the financial aspect, and we had to pause Mars development to concentrate on activities to earn some cash. we still hope to find a publisher later in the year, but of course it will delay the dev).

Yet another developer suffering from the effects of the recession it would seem, sadly. On a brighter note, Rousseau added that they are working on (a smaller project) due to be released as a download for Xbox Live, PSN, and PC some time this year.

Hopefully this other project will bide them enough time to secure a publisher for Mars.
