Graphically, Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords is no oil painting. But, then and again, neither was the original. It didn't have to be. With the emphasis firmly on plot development and the interaction of characters, Obsidian have produced a game that looks past eye candy graphics and instead offers gamers a whole lot more. Even the occasional glitch - minor clipping, dropping frame rates and lengthy load times do little to detract from what is a first class game. So the question you're probably asking yourself is: '˜is this worth buying if I've played the original?' The answer is a definite '˜you bet!' The Sith Lords is a worthy sequel to one of the Xbox's greatest titles. With an emphasis on decision-making and character development, the game wins itself a place alongside the might Halo 2 as an official system seller. Go buy.
The second is at Boomtown with an overall score of 9/10:
On the whole, KOTORII is a rich, deep and detailed game. With around 50 hours (if you play both sides) of immersive RPGing and several different possible conclusions for both Dark and Light side players, you're getting good value for money. Just try not to sweat the ending too much.
And the third is at Game Industry News with a perfect score of 5/5:
Knights of the Old Republic II is a worthy title and a fun ride for any PC game player. The interface is simple enough for a novice to learn, and the plot is deep and enriching enough to please even a hardcore RPG player. It is every bit as good as its predecessor, and in many ways even better.
