Fortunately, you're not the average mercenary; you play as Caddoc and E'Lara, two of the best monster-slayers money can buy. Caddoc is a hulking human warrior with brains and brawn. He cautiously analyzes tactical situations and effortlessly cuts down foes with a host of enchanted axes, maces, and swords. E'Lara, on the other hand, is an impulsive elven archer. She is eager for gold and quick with her bow.
Caddoc's melee tendencies stick in the enemy's craw and his Weapon Magic abilities complement his formidable hack-and-slash moves. Primal Rage beefs up Caddoc's damage, Dash gives him a potent maneuver against targets a short distance away, and Wind of Wrath levitates surrounding foes and makes them easy targets for E'Lara's arrows (not that E'Lara needs the help). Her ranged attacks equal Caddoc's damage output, though she tends to hang back and support her warrior partner with icy Arctic Arrows that freeze foes, fiery Pyre Blasts that explode against multiple enemies, and Arcane Burst shots that punch through armor.
That article gives us four new pieces of concept art to check out, as well. Moving on to The Controller Online:
So, murky personal motivations, substance abuse and what seems like a deeper conspiracy. You have my attention. I love smashing my foes into bits, but I love it even more if it's accompanied by a good story.
Hunted: The Demon's Forge has 2 player online or local co-op, but there is another important piece of the online experience we haven't looked at yet. This mode is called Crucible. In Crucible you create a dungeon with as many rooms as you want, as many enemies as you want and a the bonuses or penalties you want. The gold you collect during the single player campaign is used to unlock more option for you Crucible dungeons. This mode also has a randomizer so you can jump into a quick Crucible any time as well as online uploads so you can share your maps with your friends or download others from the community.
And then we make a quick stop at BattleStrats:
This assortment approach in the environment is also evident in the game's monsters and other enemies. You'll face many different creatures and beasts throughout the game. Wargar, for instance, are these orc-like creatures that lurk in the caverns and are the main foe you face throughout the story. Minotaurs have their own distinctive look in Hunted as well as their own unique backstory, and the dread Demons I must say look absolutely horrifying and I'm sure they are every bit as much difficult to defeat.
The creatures in the world of Hunted are addicted to this liquid called 'Sleg' which can transform them into more powerful versions of themselves. For Example, an Infected Wargar sprouts spider-like legs and can warp from space to space in battle making them a lot tougher to defeat. One of the main villains, Annuvin, who was once a great warrior, even succumbed to the power of the sleg. In his transformation he became prisoner of the sleg, constantly seeking out souls to sacrifice to it so he and the sleg can grow stronger together.
