Grouping is the only way you can effectively have some semblance of control. Once the enemy or your troops see each other, then it's mayhem. The action is so fast and furious that bodies are strewn all over the floor before you've had a chance to say, "Come back!" Again a pause feature would have been nice in the single player mode.
There are also a few side quests it seems within the main part of the campaign. Certain npcs request items to make special potions or further the progression of the game. They are highlighted in yellow. And you have to get your lord close enough to trigger the event when you click on the npc. What's frustrating is not getting a response, and having no idea why they are standing there.
