Savage Eden Interview

RPGVault has dished up an interview with Nako Interactive's Jung-won Seo and Yoo-sang Kim, in which they quiz the lead programmer and game designer about Savage Eden: The Battle for Laghaim. An excerpt to follow:
Q: What is the role of player versus player combat, how does it function, and how important is it within the overall gameplay?

Yoo-sang Kim: In areas where PvP is enabled, it gives players chance to test the ability, combat skill and items of their characters. To maintain the ability to win, they play the game continuously. We also have castle sieges that many players can participate in, providing give another exciting experience for them. With these continuous massive combats, the close unity of the community is strengthened.

LadyGM: PvP is enabled when one person types in //PK. For the next 10 minutes minimum time, anyone who also types in //PK can take part in PvP. At the end of the time limit, a 10-second delay is given. If no one attacks during this time, PvP ends. If attacks continue, then the time limit is extended. I believe this PvP will be a way for players to settle in-character disputes between themselves without acquiring penalties for indiscriminate player killing.
