Risen Console Port and PC Update Available

A couple months back, THQ Nordic announced a new console port for Piranha Bytes' open world RPG Risen that was originally released back in 2009. That port is now live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, inviting us to explore the dangerous island of Faranga, battle its many denizens, and uncover numerous mysteries.

Inquisitor Mendoza has arrived on Faranga, an island inhabited by numerous vicious creatures and ruled by the enigmatic Don Esteban. Delve into the gritty and atmospheric world of Risen, where every action has a consequence. Master the sword, learn the art of staff fighting, or become a powerful mage, forging your path across a land filled with mysterious earthquakes, fearsome monsters, and unimaginable treasures.
On top of that, Risen has also been re-released on Steam together with a new patch featuring expanded controller support, a couple of new translations, a number of welcome technical updates, and more. You can now also purchase the game's soundtrack as a separate DLC.

To celebrate the launch of Risen on modern consoles (PS4, Xbox One and Switch) we also gave this SKU here an update.
The game now fully support DirectInput compatible gamepads (either use the launch option to force it or set Controller Mode in the games option menu). We also updated the languages it supports (Polish and Russian are fully integrated) and added Steam Achievements and Rich Presence via Steam and Discord.
Along the way we did a few gameplay & technical (related to audio and physics) bugfixes, made it use 64bit and also added options like changing the FOV.
Savegames are also compatible with the old SKU and we also added Steam Cloud.
