New for Wizardry 8 is a personality system. Players choose a personality type for their characters at the beginning of the game, and then the character’s personality will change and evolve over time, depending on their actions. This can help or hinder the player, as characters may blurt out things at inopportune moments. Characters can also be imported from Wizardry 7 or Gold. Players should be aware that high-level characters will be toned down, so that they can not just stomp their way through the game world. Although, one advantage will be that they are stronger than a freshly made party. The other benefit is that the game has multiple beginnings. Where you start will depend on the alliances and the character's actions in the previous game.
This I didn't know... I mean, I knew you got to choose a voice, but I didn't know whether the game would have that voice evolve rather than just select a response based upon your action.
