If you recall, Sigil Games Online was first announced as a game company back in January of 2002, when Brad McQuaid and Jeff Butler joined forces and issued their first press release. Since that time, one would suspects that there's been development on some sort of code-base in the interim. As Senior Game Designer, entering the company over 2 years after it was formed, Mike may have expected some conflict between his vision and what had already been laid down in code.
"So far, so good. Sure, there are a couple of things that I would have taken in a different direction from the start, but even had I been here all along that would still be the case. Design is a collaborative process; not everyone gets everything they want. One great thing I hear around the design department is this: if it is not fun it doesn't go in. So, who knows perhaps those things I would have done differently will need to be changed. We shall see."
"I just want to make great games," Mike continues, "I believe that Brad has assembled a team that is going to make that easily achievable. My own vision will certainly contribute, but having been associated with most of the team in the past makes my vision and theirs fairly similar. That is one of the major reasons that I am now here."
