Q: Looking back on your term at Mythic, what would you say was the biggest single event that you were a part of?
A: Obviously the launch of Dark Age of Camelot was the biggest professional event in my life. We had no idea that it would be successful we were thinking it would have about 50,000 subs if we were lucky, and sell about 100,000 copies over its life. This actually worked to our advantage, as Vivendi obviously thought the same, and didn't put enough boxes in the retail pipeline. This meant that players trickled into the game over the first three weeks that Camelot was live and we weren't hit with a massive amount of players on day one. I think if my memory holds up correctly that by the end of the first week Camelot was live, we had 20,000 simultaneous players online, far outstripping our estimates. It was a great time.
