What's best, though, is that you're given a huge amount of control as to how these characters are developed. Each character class has a "skill tree" associated with it, which allows you to tailor the advancement of your characters to suit your particular playstyle. In effect, your Nature Mage could be totally different from your friend's. Factor in the game's length, which clocks in between 40 and 60 hours, and you have a substantial RPG to help you through those lonely nights. Single-player RPGs are few and far between these days, so when one comes long that's much larger than bite-sized, it's a very good thing.
