Beyond Divinity Review

Despite a number of enhancements and ingenuities, BD will more often than not give you an uncanny sense of déjà vu, and call to mind Divine Divinity perhaps a little too readily. BD is certainly a vast undertaking, and the sheer number of quests and NPC dialogues will shame many other similar titles. However; we have played Diablo, Dark Alliance and numerous other similar genre titles. BD needed to offer something gleaming and noteworthy to truly shine like a beacon in a crowded genre. Instead; it merely flashes a torch and hopes that fans will be attracted by the familiarity. BD will give you a considerable challenge to conquer and explore and, as with all action RPG games, the combat is intense, frantic and, after several hours, tiresome. BD, despite the lack of series innovation and other collected flaws, still makes for a solid experience, and is accessible enough for both long-term beards and bum-fluff novices to grind their axe against. And please allow me to apologise for the anal prolapse metaphor.
