Impale is the most powerful and reviled of the Combat Mage's dark magic spells. The caster summons a cloud of corruption beneath his foes, then serrated spikes erupt from the ground, impaling his enemies. Impale doesn't directly use necromantic energy or tear away its victims souls, but it is often shunned simply for how cruel and painful it is.
