Q: It seems your name became widely associated with PC Role Playing Games with the music from Icewind Dale. What inspired you for that game, how did the music develop, could you discuss the process you went though?
A: I wrote Icewind Dale in roughly two weeks. Of course, I spent more time experimenting and pondering what I would write. Charles Deenen and Adam Levenson were two great guys to work with at Interplay. They reallly knew what they wanted... although I think what I turned in for Icewind Dale surpised them a bit. What I did for Icewind Dale didn't really come from any convention. I wasn't following anyone else's lead. I just wrote music while using big brushes and I tried not to overthink too many things.
