My wife usually plays 'The Sims' on her PC.

I had already completed the D'arnise keep quests (yes I left the city).

I went back to the Slums, talked to Firkraag, he told me to go to the Windspear Hills. I did not do it right away (I finished the Renal Bloodscalp/Me'var quests). I went to Trademeet/Druid Grove to finish all initial quests ...

I cannot get to the Windspear Hills. The place is on my map but it is 'greyed out' and I cannot click on it.

Anyone know what the heck I did wrong?

I know there are many threads out there regarding classes, but I just finished playing BGII for the first time (paladin), and I want to start over as something different.

I see a lot of people talking about Kensai, and that does intrigue me, but what's with the 'no armor' and 'no metal weapons ...

What about Haer'Dalis? I know he's a bard but his ac is not very low and you want to take advantage of his swords but I feel he gets pummelled in melee combat. And he doesn't have many hit points.

I noticed that the "black" dragon scale was +1. That was a little disappointing.

I've been using Cernd's house to dump all the stuff that I don't want to carry around. I know for a fact that I dropped the Gesen bow and the pommel jewel there.

Well, it took my a while but I finally killed Firkraag (sp). Summoned many monsters to his backside to keep him busy. Still lost Aerie and Jahiera.

I thought a good wizard replacement for Aerie would be Jan, but when I attempt to talk to him it says 'Jan has nothing to say to you'. Does anyone know ...

Does anyone really prefer using two handed swords?

I ask because I really hate losing the AC bonus because I can no longer carry a shield.

Yes! Montaron's body is stashed in one of the Locked chests (at the foot of one of the beds), in the room South of the giant birdcage. You need reeaaally good lockpick skills to open it though. If Yoshimo hasn't leveled up yet I don't think his starting lockpick skill isn't sufficient to pick it ...

I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to mention that the Adamitite Golem can be beaten with the Frostheaver Axe +3 (+1 cold).

I retreated back through the rock door, let the golem stop there and huff and puff because he can't get through it.

Then I had Nalia, Aerie and Jaheira all cast ...

Is there a way to finish this quest "correctly" without guessing that the Tanner did it? I know once you kill him you find out, but something tells me you should know this before you attack him.

The prostitute tells you the material that the killer used was frequently used by Tanners, so I go talk ...

BG2 has never crashed on me. Amazing considering BG crashes on me very, very often....
