This is a piece from a book called (translated from Norwegian, I don't know the original name) "Guide for the perfect housewife" the last word meaning homemaker or stay-at-home wife. I have a 1959 copy in Norwegian sitting in my bookshelf. It was originally published in the UK from 1954 to 1962, and ...

My old tutor in journalism, who was (and still is) an arrogant drunk with a terrible dialect and an abusive personality, is also a friggin genious. He was the first person to get a personal comment out of Mikhail Gorbachev about the end of the Soviet Union.

Anyway: His golden slurred words to me ...

Oooookay, now I'm in Redcliff Castle, and I have the distinct impression that I should not be here yet. I am getting my butt kicked royally by a Revenant in the courtyard, and no matter what I do I can't seem to hurt it. the only reaon why I went to Redcliff in the first place is because Alisteir ...

Thanks Fable. I figured it out in the end. For some reason she doesn't show up on the map like the other quest characters, so it took a while to find her. Might have passed her 3-4 times looking in the wrong direction.

Okay, here's another one: I'm still messing about in Lothering, and can't seem to finish my final quest. I've created the potions for Elder Miriam, but when I want to deliver them, I can't find the old bat anywhere. Is this a bug, or is this a sidequest and I've missed a clue?

Loads of questions (might get spoiler replies)

Hi guys.

I just started the game again, with a new character. I went from Dalish Elf Rouge to Human Noble Warrior. Currently at level 8, and enjoying myself. This leads to some questions:

1. I'm in dire need of a rouge. What the hell is up with only 3 companions? With the difficulty level being as ...

Another thought: the Monkey Island series. It's simple to play, great fun, and should get her engrossed in characters on screen.

Agreed. Adventure games. What was the comic games with the luckless and clueless wizard again?

I go through keyboards really fast. Usually because they're not Tea/Coffe/Red wine proof, or because I just get tired of them. Tend to go for Logitech myself. Now that my son is away they have been lasting a bit longer, though...

Skip it. Trying to talk to her is wrong in so many ways that I can't begin to think about it. Sorry to say this, but there is nothing more empowering and pathetic to a girl than an ex boyfriend on the phone leaving messages or trying to call. It works both ways, BTW.

Don't call her, don't mention ...

They didn't mean much to me until I grew older, but they were a musically extremely proficient trio. None more parodied, though. They belonged in an era of hobbits, hippies and lighter thinking. To imagine that a band basically singing advanced versions of nursery songs could ride the top of the ...

Cool! You are welcome. Leave the wild animals to me, and keep the Akvavit. Never mind hypothermia, you won't get it. Oslo during the 17th of May is easy: Don't go there. I've stayed away from downtown on the 17th for the last 15 years, and I'm perfectly happy. I usually go fishing in the woods, that ...

Hornswoggle is one of my fave words, and I use it frequently. I first heard it used by (of all things) Al Bundy in the series "Married, With Children" and I fell in love with it. Hoodwinked is also nice.
