Changing character during the OC

Hi there,
I started the OC with a Warlock, which turned out to be not that much fun at all. I feel very much that the Invocations are generally rather wimpy and useless for their level, just compare Dark Foresight with Premonition and Utterdark Blast would be actually usefull if it stacked with ...

If you are talking about my build then please note that it is a very tight build, i.e. one that expects you to meet a lot of requirements at certain levels, which may be hard to do, maybe not the best thing for a first game, since you'll have basically no room to expriment on your own.

Also, it was ...

Try to get the Great Smiting feat, for which you need 25 charisma (which you can achive by level 24 if you start with CHA 18 (which is worth it in the end, though it makes most of the game tougher). by lvl27 you can get Great Smiting III with lets you add 4 times your class level to damage when ...

Apart from the fact that you need to be either a bard or sorceror to take up RDD, yes.
As long as your character level is 21 ...

Answering to best of my knowledge:

1.) I think not.

2.) the correct way of putting it is:
You have to be at least character level 21 in order to take a prestige class beyond level 10. Thus a Fighter 8/ Bard 2/Red Dragon Dsicipline 10 could, upon reaching Lvl 21 become a Lvl 11 RDD.

3.) I think ...

Aremar: If you don't mind, I'd like to put your comments into my strategy guide, you get credit of course.

Since this has become a little cluttered (no offense, the little excursion into weapon lore was very interesting) I've posted a new thread with the final version (1.0 if you will ;) ). So ...

The Weapon Master prestige class has a number of special features that improve your abillity to land critical hits and the damage that those do.
It's therefore a good idea to maximize that potential when building your character.

The most obivious way to do this is by increasing your number of ...

Prestige classes do not suffer the XP penalties associated with multiclassing; as long as there are only two primary classes, there will be no penalties.

I didn't know that, but it does take a lot of the awkwardness out of this build.

Rapiers are better for a single weapon dual-wield focus ...

Build: Critical Bill

Hi everybody first of all, this is my first post on this board.

I'd like to present a Build based on the Weapon Master Prestige Class. I originally used this Build in HotU and thus the first part of this Strategy Guide will focus on that.

Conceptual Thoughts:
The Weapon Master Prestige Class has a ...
