Yes I have the official patch installed - you said patches - is there another other than the Atari patch?

I have just encounted the same bug, prior to destroying the skull I have summoned each "big dude" and dismissed them, thus obtaining a spare elemental gem off ...

I took Scorpp into the fire node as fodder and after I beat the Balor I could not pick up gem or exit through ANY of the portals, I teleported to another node and the same thing.
Easy solution that I am posting for others who may encounter the same problem. KILL SCORPP then everything works again ...

Crafting Items

Can anyone tell me if you can upgrade an already enchanted item. ie: As mage gains higher ability can she add higher level enchantments, also with crafted items.

My party was "good" alignment. Leader was neutral good, 2 chaotic good, another neutral good and a true neutral. At the time of meeting the prince I had 2 human followers & Scorpp the giant. I did have the skull I wonder if that would have made a difference.

I am having problems in getting the Prince into my party. When I first released him and offered to lead him out of the temple I did have 8 people in my party(yeah I know I am a wuse), I disposed of a member of my group but the prince still won't join. I only get the option to dismiss him.
