Then it's DS2's problem. You can try different video drivers and the latest DS2 patch. Some games just don't run well on particular machines.

Do you have any problems playing other more recent games? I doubt there's anything wrong with your computer, not hardware-wise I mean. Your memory is enough to play any game currently out there.

By not specialize in any I meant don't put too many skill points in just one skill. Spread out the skill points as you will get a lot of items later on that add to your skills. You do add points to Amplified Lightning and all that, but don't go above 10 too much.

1. No Zeratul in this game. :( One-handed weapons hardly do a lot of damage in later Acts, though I think you can do some decent damage using critical hit. Sorry but solo+one-handed melee seems a VERY hard game.

This is the easiest method until the patch comes.

Jump on the teleporter to Western Cliffs of Azunai, follow the path to the east and enter Isteru's Caverns. Keep going south and find a room(west to an incantation shrine) with a platform, the switch is on the stairs.

Try to roll back to older drivers, 71.89 or something. I remember reading it somewhere that DS2 doesn't work well with newer nv drivers. Also try to turn off the "automatically restart" option to get the blue screen, see what it says. Does your machine work well with other recent games?

There is a formula for calculating damge per second:
(((max damage-min damage)/2)+min damage)/speed

so you can calculate if that faster bow is better.

Ok, it's the bug we were talking about. The helms indicate a new party member that is Vix. Strange that you can't even get to him, from what I heard the usual bug occurs after you talk to Vix.

Later you can talk to a guy in Aman'lu inn and get a quest about killing a demon. You have to use this sword to break the crystal he's in first.

Thanks for the input, guys. I figured it was a glitch so I reloaded the game and went back, the door opened. The third door is not where I should use the chant, it opened after I defeated the evil clones the second time.

So blizzard you only need to reload the game then try again, though this way ...

That's one of the coolest looking sword I've found, too bad the damage doesn't go up with the difficulty. *spoiler*And this sword is actually useful in some place.
