Just take all the books upstairs at the guild(not any in the library and not any in maze's study) and take all the books in lower bowerstone. Then go to the school teacher and keep giving him the books until you receive dark wizard hat. Probably need to be of an evil alignment as well. Funny I just ...

This item is to get into a secret quest only available in multiplayer mode called the chicken level. lol never tried it but a friend told me about it. I only play single player on my games.

it makes monsters explode into bloody chunks, the dungeon siege patch 1.1 removes this altogether.

I realized you get experience for summoning monsters as a mage but when this monster kills an enemy I don't seem to get any experience. Is that the way the game works? I've watched my experience and it never seems to go up when I sit back and watch my summoned monster kill enemies.
