Actually, I've found sorcerers to be a real delight at playing. Your spell selection is limited, but only in the sense that you can't have every spell that exists. But you can PICK from every spell that exists. AND you can cast those spells more times than a wizard. So I just make sure I pick spells ...

I think a straight sorcerer would be a great solo character. I have one right now that's level 19 and working with a party in Heart of Fury mode. I'm still in chapter 1, but he can run around the map, collect a bunch of mobs, and then nuke the hell out of them with delayed fireball and Horrid ...

Ah, of course...that would make sense. That would also explain why sometimes one or both the mages get scorched pretty badly. Those were probably times they didn't cast the spell at the same moment.

Question is, is this considered a cheese tactic or simply good strategy?

I don't know about you but I get a rush killing a dozen enemies in one move. What are your favorite tactics for clearing out a whole group of nasties in one fell swoop?
