I'd go for a inquisitor instead of a cavalier or undead hunter, because his special abilities are more useful in SoA. His Dispell Magic is twice the level of the normal spell (so it dispells almost anything). True Sight is also a real gem, considering how many enemies turn invisible, especially if ...

I just finished playing as an Inquisitor, and I must say I never regret choosing this kit. His True Sight and Dispell Magic abilities really rock. The first comes in very handy when fighting thieves of mages, while the latter can be used in both an offensive and a defensive way. IMO the question ...

Thanks for your replies. I decided to upgrade Firetooth, because I like to equip my PC with the best weapons available. Also, I like the idea of having both a good bow (Gesen's) AND a good crossbow (Firetooth). But I guess it doesn't matter all that much since I prefer hacking my enemies to pieces ...

Darkfire or Firetooth? [SPOILERS]
I can't decide how to use the bowstring of Gond. My PC is a paladin (inquisitor) with two proficiency points in crossbows, equiped with the Firetooth +4 crossbow for ranged attacks. I also have Imoen in my party, currently equiped with the Gesen shortbow. My PC almost never uses his crossbow (since ...

Thanks guys! I'm doing TOB now with this party, I just finished Saradush. I must admit, it's an awesome melee party. The only spells I use frequently are Breach, Lower Resistance, Pierce Magic, Kelden's Warding Whip and the usual battle preparation spells. I'm not that much of a spellcaster anyway ...

Suggested weapons (and proficiencies) for my NPC's
Suggested weapons (and proficiencies)?
I'm having trouble deciding where to put weapon proficiencies when leveling up my NPC's (Minsc, Jaheira, Valygar, Imoen, Aerie). Off course the answer depends on the weapons you want a particular NPC to wield, so let's discuss that. What weapons do you think ...

Question about Saemon (SPOILER)
I read somewhere that you can kill Saemon on the pirate ship, just before the ship is capsized by the Sahuagin. I was wondering if doing so screws the game up in any way, since you're supposed to meet him again later on. Do I get stuck or do I get to miss anything if I kill that weasel on the ship?
