Other than the +1 to hit and damage, are there any other benefits to upgrading Carsomyr? Does the Dispel Magic go higher in level?

Xzar got killed by the Harper Assasin. I heard that I could find Monty's Body after that. Problem is, I couldn't get inside the Harper Hall anymore. What gives? What can I do now?

I'm playing a Kensai and I just finished cleaning out the trolls in Nalia's Keep. Since I'm eligible to get the stronghold, I don't seem to have the option of keeping Nalia with me in the party if I don't keep the Keep :) . I really want the Planar sphere as my stronghold when I dual to mage ...
