Level 18 Sorcerer... I took the "recommended" feats of empower and maximize spell..I hadn't seleceted any spells to be put into the slots but they were automatically selected anyway...My questions are these:

Does this now mean I get less level 9 spells than if I hadnt taken these feats?

And if I ...

The two spells I use most are fireball and cloud of cone. fireball for me atm without metamagic is do upwards of 60 damage and has done 99 damage on several occasions and kills basically everything i find in 2 hits... Iam however only in NWN chapter 2...so I havent come up against any "Major " mobs ...

oh really ....hmm ok do you need all the feats of metamagic or just a few of them to cast the level 8 and 9 spells?...This should be mentioned in the manual ... I would never have known... thanks for letting me know

I have some of the feats mentioned by Xandax they came as recomended for me anyway ...

Well Xandax, that is what i was thinking to there are many other feats that would serve a sorcerer well I think the metamagic would be more useful if it was automatic and considering I play in a multiplayer game by the time i have metamagic my spell up the other have killled the mob anyway :P ...I ...

Iam a level 9 sorcerer...I mostly use a longbow+1 and my spells. I have come to the point where my weapon is basically becoming void as the damage my spells do is 4x (or more) that of my bow, but my spells are limiting in the amount of times I can use them and whom they effect. Iam about to reach ...

Ok I have now reached my next level which is 9...sorry i thought i was already level 9 ... I was able to unlearn and learn any spell from that any level. I was also able to learn more spells this level from any spell level I wanted so it all seems to be ok now... I don't really know what happened ...

Nod I was going from level 8 to 9 yes and yes I couldn't learn them at that level, infact I couldnt learn any other than those from level 4 and only what was recomended which I gained when I leveled. I had on a previous level learnt summon creature 2 but I chose a different spell from the level 3 ...

Thanks for the help though my problem is just that I cant select any spell that I want. I can only have the recomended spell or the spells that are gained for that level I cannot choose any from a lower level now...
