Late Discovery TOEE & Windows 7
Because I already had TOEE on my desktop, I had never loaded it on my laptop. My laptop has Win 7 as the OS. Long story short, I recent did and to my delight I discovered that the "looting bug" disappeared! I have not apply the "official patch" as that has its own issues. I have no clue as to why ...

Re: Missing the voice of Jon Irenicus? Look no further! SPOI
David Warner reprises his role as Jon Irenicus in the new BG EE: Siege of Dragonspear. He appears merely as a mysterious "hooded figure". But there is no mistaking who it is. Also he voiced one of the new optional male voices for your character. Check out the one titled "commanding male"

Re: Things are pretty...different here.
I come back to visit from time to time myself. Glad to see a few familiar names. It seems like there was a time frame when posting on the forum was disabled. Don't know if it was long or if it just that I was unfamiliar with the new site updates. It could be that many got discouraged/frustrated and ...

I restarted a BGII game using a PC (bard) that I had just completed BG1 with. Picked up Branwen early on. Have not run into a fatigue problem so far. The whole party got fatigued once travelling back and forth a couple of times to Nalia's home (understandably) but no problem after resting. I've done ...

To play Devil's advocate, not being able to dispel demons in this context is kosher. They are after all on their home plane, difficult to send them home when they're already in the Abyss. However the auto summons bit is definitely not honest DMing!

Completed at Last
I have worked at finishing ToEE for a few years. Kept making progress but got tired of fighting the bugs/glitches so I would set it aside for a while. Finally I gutted it out and completed it with my first party. As an aside, I did it without using the patches or Co8 mods.

I resemble that old timer. :D I much prefer the 2nd edition myself. Although I guess I'm included in the "old farts" as well as I started playing back in the 80's too. In fact I started with the 1st edition.

After trying different methods I now place the rune stones (tokens) in the dummies after attacking them as GotYou recommended. As Galraen mentions you can complete the level without doing so, but it does seem to help keep the corresponding doors open if you go back upstairs to drop off or sell some ...

Old thread but worth adding a comment. What I found easiest to replenish my crossbow bolt supply was to simply make a couple of trips between Hommlett and Nulb. I frequently would have a random encouter with 3 or 4 pirates who were no challenge and usually had a few crossbows and quarrels among them.

Potion of speed for your PC, engage and use greater whirlwind attack if a fighter type. Should bash the tanarri pretty quickly. Hope Aerie or Imoen have spell triggers or at least au-dalhzim's horrid wilting. Horrid wilting usually affects any/all of the bad guys in that room. Just takes a while to ...

IIRC from my old AD&D books, a character's stats (unless changed through magic or an item) remained consistent while gaining levels, BUT they were subject to change based on a character's aging. Humans being most susceptable of course. A character's strength, for example, would decrease in later ...
