Conjuration is Totally Cool when having the ability to levitate permanently.
Just Fly over ugly beasts , shoot some fireballs and summon anything you like!

I think it is possible to drive the spirit out if you have a character with high bluff skill. you can try

yep, it's possible to take one level of paladin to use the holy avenger and nope you cannot take the level without being LG, dilemma, dilemma....

Actually, it all depend on what kind of character you want to build.

First query: Is it going to be a tank, assassin, spell caster, etc....?
Second is to choose how you want to roleplay this character, I mean if you want to use a druid, are you going to focus on shape-changing ...
