Moving Along...........The Butcher

Well, I've managed to zap all the monsters on level 1 of Diablo 1 and the only living thing on level 2 is the Butcher, but try as I might, I can't seem to kill him [with my level 7 character]. I've tried the chase-and-run trick that the few cheats I've read ...

I've just started playing the first Diablo game and haven't had much difficulty so far, except now that I've delved into the first level of the dungeon [I know; big deal] I keep seeing monsters that need to be killed, but I can't get to them -- either I can't open the door or there's no way to that ...
