Reading scrolls shouldn't be a problem. Any cleric (or other spell-user) can cast Read Magic (0 level spell) to identify them. I usually have my cleric memorize all his/her 0 level spells as Read Magic because the other spells aren't very good. Using this spell is free.

To use 'cure' spells as a Good aligned cleric, go to spell selection on the radial screen menu (using right click, as normal), hold down the Shift key and you'll see your memorized spells turn into 'cure' spells.
