Make your alignment chaotic neutral and use your find familiar as your thief? At chaotic neutral your familiar is a cat with decent thieving skills, i think 99% find traps and open locks, and 70% in the rest of the skills (i think). I've never actually tried it through a full game so i'm not sure if ...

So has anyone solo'd an assassin through ToB? I'm finding it extremely hard :/ in fact almost impossible, especially in battles where there isn't enough room to run and hide somewhere so i can hide in shadows. btw does cloak of non detection prevent a thief hiding in shadows from being detected by ...

backstab weapons?

What are some of the better backstab weapons in the game(including ToB), or assassin weapons in general? Pros/cons etc? Mainly for a solo assassin. Also any tips on how a solo assassin handles some of the tougher enemies of ToB such as dragons etc ? thx

druid question

When a druid shapeshifts into gww or earth elemental or whatever, do bonuses from things like belt of fire giant strength carry over to the shapeshifted form? or does the new shape have it's just use it's own thac0 and ac regardless of what items you are wearing in human form?

Fable: You may well like or approve of all the material you mentioned, but how many other people do? Everyone has different opinion's and even if they haven't read every fantasy book ever written, that doesn't mean they're not entitled to their opinion, nor make their opinion right or wrong. No ...

Thanks. Yeah i had used slayer form vs. him but whenever he was down to badly injured, he would run away, and regen quick, plus my char would start freaking out and dying so i had to revert to human form :)

kuo toa prince

How do i kill the prince in the kuo toa dungeon (underdark) ? He keeps healing himself completely. My undead hunter with carsomyr can't hurt him, nor with FOA. He even regenerated when my fighter/mage cast timestop and was bashing him with a magic warhammer. I've had him down to badly injured but he ...

Nope i don't have a save from that far back, i think it was quite some time before i actually realised he was fallen, because i had some other weapon in a slot next to carsomyr so when he became fallen, and probably instantly stopped weilding carsomyr,he must have switched to the other weapon. Maybe ...

I had a quick look in shadowkeeper (i don't like using it at all) and i couldn't see a way to change him back. In shadowkeeper he's still called an undead hunter, not fallen. Also...he can't use any of his spells, that must be because of his fallen status too :( Man i havn't even done anything evil ...

fallen undead hunter ?

Atm my PC is an undead hunter, and all was going well until i realised that somehow, i was unable to use carsomyr anymore (had been using it no worries for quite a while). Then i noticed when i was shifting stuff around through various party member's inventory's, that carsomyr was red and i couldn't ...

I didn't say anything about the origin's of the name balor,i was just referring to the whole situation of that little quest in the underdark. It's basically a straight up copy of the balrog/moria situation in LOTR.

um what about the little underdark quest in BG2, where the gnomes or dwarves have dug/mined too deep into the earth and unleashed a powerful demon, which in the game is called a balor i think?

balrog/moria/khazad dum anyone?

Sarcas: Maybe the extra RAM you have makes a difference. I don't think there's anything wrong with my PC as other games like Q3A, UT, Myth 2 etc run fine. But yeah i may have to defrag n stuff. Thx for the tips guy's i will definitely play from single player mode now.

A couple questions

Does playing alone in multi-player (want a custom designed party) run slower than in normal single player for everyone? cos mine seems to run _really_ crap, the framerate feels like im playing on a 486 or something. Sorta feels the same in single too, really chug's along and drops to what feels like ...
