I was walking along the shore and found a row boat and jumped in it, but couldn't use it. Did I miss something?

Ebony Armor at Level 1

I've been to the Dren Plantation and have the key, but can't find the particular house it goes to! I'm a female High Elf and can't carry much and
my boyfriend's a Dark Elf (also Level 1) and can't even kill the cave rats so this should be a big help!

I'm playing as a female High Elf and have some soul gems. I know you can put creatures in soul gems, but then what? - I'm not sure what the point is.

Also, I bought the Morrowind Strategy Guide and was hoping it'd have more detailed maps such as the layout of individual cities/villages. It's hard ...
