I second Fable's suggestion that you hang around Seyda Neen for a while to begin character development and get a feel for the game. The only other suggestion that pops into my head is that I think it's a good idea to follow the main quest at the beginning.
When I played my first character in MW I ...

Yes, I also took over Velas Manor, but I wasn't sure if it was safe there since I'd lost my other items inside of a building. It's good to know that I don't have to worry about it. However, it's too bad that the floor and carpeting don't set off items the way the Creeper's floor did. :) It's really ...

I believe the inventory is gone. I can't remember where it was in the game that I got a warning about vendors loosing inventory - perhaps it was a comment from an NPC. It was a mention about seeing a particular weapon in a shop that wasn't bought at the time, and then, on returning later to purchase ...

Tribunal question about loot.
Hello.
I started Tribunal last week. One thing I've discovered to my surprise is that, unlike Morrowind, if you leave things on the floor in this game they can disappear. I had 4 items that were too expensive to sell at the time that I left on the floor of a dealers shop. I came back later to find ...

enchanting question for xbox
Hello.
I just read a post of Dragon Wench's where she mentions enchanting a pair of pants with 3 bound enchantments. When I go to enchant a pair of pants I usually find that it only allows something like 40-60 points. Exquisite rings and amulets allow 120 points. I have found no way that I can ...

What's up with the body in my basement?
Possible Telvanni spoiler:
My Telvanni tower has been complete for some time, and I've been having a lot of fun having a "home" in the game. One of the things I most appreciate about Morrowind are these kinds of "extras" that have nothing to do with actually finishing the game, but have a lot to ...

I agree with Ares2382's comment that there is no right or wrong choice in Morrowind. It all depends on how you want to play the game, or how your approach to gameplay changes as your character develops. For instance, when I began playing my current character, I was primarily using a physical combat ...
