Hi there,

I finaly made my old favorite BG work under my new PC and I'm glad I can play this game after such a long time.

Currently I have installed the fallowing:

-BG II SoA
-BG II ToB (European version, I have the atari package)
-BG II ToB official patch (European version too, obv)
-G3 ...

I'm doin' BGII for like the 50th time with a Dwarf Berseker and I got the little turnip's lover with me, he offered the "Boots of Jansenkin" or something like that to me so I can turn myself in a jan gnomish like avatar. But since I used these boots, some annoying blue glow appears on top of my PC's ...

If you have TOB installed, you only have to dl the "TOB bugfixe", you don't need to install the SOA one before.

As far as I'm concerned, Cone of Cold is a weak, weak spell in Baldur's Gate II. I was a huge fan of it on pen and paper, but it's just not good at all in the bg series!

The good damage spell choice at lvl 5 is Sunfire, it's a no contest. Ennemies dodge CoF way to often, even when they are right ...

Whoa Crenshinibon, I have to give my opinion on this one:angel: ! You can't seriously say that a Blade is superior to a F/M ! More fun, better role-playin' experience, yea sure, why not, but more powerfull???

First and foremost, the F/M has acces to lvls 7, 8 and 9 spells, wich alone make him ...

The multiclass is way stronger with TOB installed, because you have access to the fighter's HLA instead of only those of the druid class. Dual class is only usefull in a SOA only game. Hope this help,

In fact, a cleric-ranger is alot more potent in combat then a Fighter-Cleric, I mean, the 1st one got those iron skins...

As for your suggestions, I don't like Skull traps, they seem buggy as they don't trigger. As for mass invisibility, I don't agree. I like the spell alot, one shot and all your party is invisible, way ...

Ok, I know that there is a thread about the sorcerer's spell selection around, but the advice I need is a different one.

People suggest spells for a solo sorcerer most of the time and as far as I'm concerned, soloin' is quite boring...

Oh Saurus, of course! The helmets! hehe, so Critical Strike and the like are indeed quite useless, because alot of ennemies are protected against a critical strike..

I do remember havin' no critical strike at all with that feat too when I tried it. Could it be bugged or sometin?

Nobody came with strong points regarding G deathblow or critical strike / smite, so I will stick to Gww and hardiness as a fighter.
