Found the Ocean House pretty freaky, sitting here alone in the middle of the night with only the monitor glow. Was expecting much from the downtown hospital and was sorely disappointed. No monsters, just another creature of the night striking bargains. The only good bits were what happened on those ...

I have to admit that I was surprised and pleased to see the Tremere in the first Vampire game -- having been familiar with it from the RPG Ars Magica (another White Wolf creation) -- as just one of many mage houses. They were great. Total power-mongers, and the elders didn't tend to die or retire so ...

You continually go to bed just before sunrise -- because you've been up all night playing the game -- and the lack of daylight seems quite normal.

You watch the tv news nervously, in case it talks directly to you.

You look at closed doors with curiosity and wonder if your lockpicking skills are up ...

I second the recommendation for Deus Ex, but stay away from the awful sequel. Max Payne and its sequel are both great -- though obviously lacking in the fantasy element.

Perhaps this goes without saying, but if you're looking for something good along these lines, play the original -- Vampire ...

Running is a good suggestion. And don't be afraid to kill one or two of the little critters if they get in your way. They do tend to wear you down while you hack at the main man. Male malk, here, with a brawl of 7, and all I used was my fists and one a couple shots of the killer hallucination ...

Argh. Everybody talking about "voices" I finally dug out a set of headphones and played with. Now I'll have to play the whole game over as a malk just to appreciate it. Oh, and just got my pimp gear and dr. seuss hat. Gotta love it. Also didn't start watching tv nearly early enough. I've missed out ...

Wel I managed to do the deed with Jeanette but when I gave her the locket I felt kind of bad that I hadn't helped the ghost woman from the hotel, I mean she did help me and save my life. Am I the only one who felt bad?

I felt bad and I felt scared. Bad, because she is apparently now damned to ...

ah damn.

I'm a Malkavian my first time through. I've been looking forward to going through the game again, possibly as a Tremere, but I'm afraid it's just not going to be that interesting.

was thinking the same thing... as a Malkavian

Maybe it's a good sign, or maybe it means the game is way too easy, but I was thinking the same thing... as a Malkavian.

Dementation opportunities *everywhere*, and then obfuscate my way around the more difficult stealth bits as the lazy vamp I am ...
