I liked my Swashbuckler a lot, there aren't a lot of thieves to choose from in this game. Too bad he misses out on the backstabbage, though.

That's still a bug probably, I don't think putting quest items in my Bag of Holding has even prevented me from finishing quests (or letting Cespenar do his job, for instance), but glad to hear everything worked out for you!

Getting ready to play through BG2 and I'm still trying to pick between an assassin, F/T, and Kensai/Thief. I was leaning more towards the assassin. Now I'm leaning towards the Kensai/Thief. A few questions though:

-As a Kensai/Thief what level should I dual to thief at? This is with ToB included ...

They must have permanent Protection From The Elements.

I believe that you can only do so in the Hordes of the Underdark expansion, by choosing the shifter class and acquiring the form. As such, you can become a vampire, but it's not the "real thing". You don't really get the disadvantages either.

You are absolutely right, I mixed up a couple of games ...

It's been a while since I played it, but couldn't you become a vampire in Neverwinter Nights, including all the superhuman powers and sunlight allergy that comes with it?

I see! My mage is wearing the Robe of Veccna, so I'm afraid he'll just have to do without a hood. My fighter/thief is actually a kensai/thief (not high level enough for UAI), so he's not wearing any armor.

I've also used SK to edit the way my self-made NPC's look, but I'm also not entirely satisfied with the results.

I've edited my dual-classed fighter-thief to look like a rogue instead of a boring old fighter, but I can only see the result in the inventory screen/paper doll. The in-game ...

Are you playing using some sort of mod? I cleared the same area yesterday, and all I ran into was the mage, a wyvern and some other rubble. I Dominated the mage with my nymph (thanks Jaheira!) and the fight was over in no time.

And if you're having problems dealing with wizards, just wait until you start running into Liches.

- From what I've read, the Bag Of Holding won't become 'bottomless' until you've started a new game, unfortunately. Perhaps you could try to sell some old stuff? ;)

- There are quite a few items that can give you extra spell slots! (Amulet, Rings, Ioun Stone). If enemy mages and their spell ...

- I think I also didn't hit the cap on my first playthrough, with a full party. I know you've been to the De'Arnise Keep and the Umar Hills, but have you been to the Windspear Hills, and Trademeet? Did you do a lot of sidequests like the Planar Sphere and the Haer'Dalis quest, and tough encounters ...

- How high have Dragons immunity to magical weapons? I tried to tackle Shadow one, and my +2 weapons couldn't do any damage and spells were mostly resisted. What puzzles me, my characters didn't shout "weapon unusable" and my casters chained Breach, so I presume it was some innate ability.

What is your tank's armor class? Does he/she have any decent equipment?

As far as I can tell, the spells you list are indeed all party-friendly. Not all of them cause damage, however. Wail Of The Banshee is also party-friendly, but that's a lvl 9 mage spell.

Insect Plague is also party friendly ...

Yoshimo is a thief, so he can't wear plate! There are some very nice leather armors for him, though. I don't know about a hidden agro system, I had the idea that monsters first attack whoever comes into sight first, and then maybe switch to whoever is attacking them? maybe other people know more ...

First of all, sorry for bumping a nearly year-old thread, but can the official patches still be found on the Bioware-site? The patch page seems to be pretty empty (except for a few banners). :/

If you have a high level thief, backstabbing them one by one also works wonders
