Basically, a let down after the EXCELLENT romance in SoA.

I played SoA until roght before I left Brynnlaw. I then installed ToB and finished the rest of SoA. After Jon fell, I played right through to ToB. This allows you to keep the bonuses you get with Jon's final battle (when you import you lose them).

I finished ToB with the XP cap of 8,000,000 for my ...

You can also elect to go beat the crap out of Demogorgon. After you're done, exit through the portal then pause it immediately. Read the scroll then unpause it. The game will take away the scroll but it will also give you the 80k XP first ... cool.

Most of us just want to play the game, we don't want to screw around with scripts, decompiling, hacks, cheats, overrides ... I'll just stop there.

When I was looking for some Jaheira answers I just wanted to play the game, not add some hack to get the game working how I *thought* it ...

Actually, it's because confusion like this that prompted me to write the walkthrough. Jaheira's Keepsake locket as well as Jaheira getting cursed ...

Could you elaborate on how you found this? I'm not sure I understand. Did you re-install SOA only and it worked (you got Dermin)?

It seems that this is a very common sticky point for the romance. Dermin doesn't show up everywhere, for me I was in the Temple District. I think most parts of Athkatla are OK, but that is about it.

If you haven't already tried this ... go to Athkatla (Temple District) and use the pause ...

Ok, so this is my third time through SOA in preparation for TOB so I wanted to do it right. I have read about a million posts on this subject (with varying degrees of helpfulness, but mostly confusion ...

The immunity must be a BG2 thing, I don't remember that from D&D rules ... I thought D-Liches just had rediculous magic resistance. I'll have to dig out some of my old books ...

I agree, a lot of them probably are.

But I'm just after those that appear to be placed there rather than just random. I guess being a programmer makes me look WAY to far into games like this !
