1.3 Patch: Don't take a quest from Aleister before getting Galdryn's Horn!

I started fresh with the 1.3 patch with a new Character.

Problem: Aleister would not get me the letter with a battlemage quest in my log before getting Galdryn's Horn.

After I completed the sewers and went off gathering ...

Yes she sent me to Aleister. I tried going back to talk to her but she is unavailable. I think getting the battlemage quest broke the letter link. All he does when I first talk to him after he menions the horn is remind me of the battlemage quest.

I still find it strange that the log doesn't keep ...

With the 1.3 patch installed, I decided to go it again with a different character. This time a mage. The first time I visited Aleister I took the Battle mage quest.

Ok, Still stuck going to the same islands. I knew from preivous Islands trips it was 4-5 max gates to return. I went back on a saved game after I entered the ruins and did the first three glyphs again and sure enough I was only on the islands for less than 4 shadow gates before getting out.

Thanks, Still stuck. I go where the Knight stands and still keep going to the same shadow Islands over and over. I think I'm in a bug.

Ok I've been stuck for 2 days trying to get the last glyph (bottom Left). I've been following the Knight Monster pictures always entering the shadow gate where the knight picture is. I always come out the same place.

Monster Knight - Go straight
Knight Monster - Turn around go through the same gate ...

Ok, I got the Sword and placed it into the statue. I keep following Lord Kingston thru the shadow gates and looking for the glyph in the room when I return, until he leads me out to one of the floating islands in space. Still no glyph. I did save the game between entering shadow gates.
