1.3 Patch: Don't take a quest from Aleister before getting Galdryn's Horn!
I started fresh with the 1.3 patch with a new Character.
Problem: Aleister would not get me the letter with a battlemage quest in my log before getting Galdryn's Horn.
After I completed the sewers and went off gathering supplies in Fargrove I took a Battlemage quest from Aleister before completing Galdryn's horn quest. When I did get the horn Aleister would recognize that I had the horn but would not start the dialog about going to Arindale to Emmindor and giving me the letter. All he would do is remind me of the Battlemage quest.
Thank god for saved games. Starting again after completeing the sewers. This time I did not joint any guilds or accept any quests except for the main quest of getting the horn. This time I received the Letter from Aleister.
