With dual weapons, the problem may be related to weapon length. I have the light dual weapons skill and the secondary weapon must have less than a 6' range. Otr maybe 5'9, i'm not sure. So for you, maybe your secondary weapon must be medium and have a range less than a certain amount, probably 6' or ...

How does Rune magic work? I have the spell Rune Armor, but when i try to cast it, it gives me the noise like your out of charges. Is there some other component to rune magic than having the spell?

I had that problem too. The disks I had instaled version 1.2 and the patch didn't seem to do anything. The problem is that the auto-installer for the patch wasn't changed after the disks were being manufactured at version 1.2.

Is there a way to open chests/doors without going through the disarm trap/open lock mini-game? My reflexes suck and I keep getting zapped. I'm level 2 with level 1 inspect traps skill. Is there a spell like knock in D.W. bradley's other gamesn like Wiz. 7 and wizards and Warriors?

i just got a magic missile scroll and realizad I'm not sure how magic works.
i read the manual and underestand there are charges, but is it like mana based and you fire the spell for a certain number of "points" or is it like D & D wands, i.e. 15 charges = 15 uses. Does resting replenish and where ...

At th3e start of the game -- character creation -- is it better to increase attributes or skills. I created a elf female fighter -- I want access to magic and sisterhood classes later -- but i don't know how best to use the advancement points.

OK, I got it. I found out on the DL home page forums thar the aytoinstaller for the parch is broken. It creates a folder called "Dungeon Lords Version 1.3 Patch". take all the files out of that folder, i.e. cut/paste, and put them into the main DL folder, i.e Program Files\Dreamcatcher\Dungeon Lords ...
