Xandax is correct. Each book is in part of the Jharegs areas. I only wanted to add that the bookcases that the books are in are very prominent. They are highlighted with very large glows.

Also, in chapter two you need a reagent before the spell seller (Also sells various magic items) will speak with you. I suggest you get rid of the fire beetles belly. It seems to me that if your character isn't motivated by a desire for fame, fortune, or goodwill, then he just doesn't fit in.
At the start of a campaign the ideal motivation is a beautiful lady paladin saying, "If you save Neverwinter then me luff you long time." That always gets me.

Yes, change henchmen at about 5th-6th level and talk to them 3-4 times in a row. You'll get their story for each chapter.

No need to take them adventuring. Just find out what item they want.

I needed to run. Two swords were on me and I had to get them onto my followers. The only way I could do it was to go round the pyramid. My Wizard just doesn't have the hit points.

The first time that I played I mostly just fought them as a warrior.

I finished as a warrior/rogue. Now in chapter 3 ...

Barbarian Henchman, Dire Spider Summoned, Pixie Familiar... and I ran in circles around the pyramid. Stupid swords chased me and my followers cut them down.

Did you try giving him a +3 sword and a diamond? (Makes a +2 Astral Longsword) or any other high level items to make? (Depends on the quality of the item). For example, the rapier has a totally different effect with a higher quality blade.

The Pixie at every level so far has been the best. She can disarm traps and pick locks. The Henchman that I use is either Daelen or Grimclaw. My Summon is a Dire Tiger. So far nothing can compete with the fearsome foursome... and if your familiar dies you take 1d6 damage. You do not lose perm hit ...

It seems pretty random, but I found an adamantite piece and a diamond in the dresser after killing the mage who had the pixie captive. (Pretty much any boss has the potential to have something good in their horde).(Random).

Kill Fire Giant as a level 11 fighter/4 rogue and I get 7 experience points. (I'm not exaggerating. 7 experience!). How could I get any higher levels at this rate?

I remember that chest as I just did chapter one as a Mage. None of my followers will attempt to open the chest, but they do have the skill. I know because I possessed my Sprite familiar and opened that chest myself! My sprite wouldn't do it. I had to do it myself! *grumble*

Yeah, the sorcerer guy is pretty nice to have later on. He casts Stone, Damage reduction, Haste, Strength on you. He casts Pierce Magic and Chain Lightning and OPEN on chests. The only draw back is he dies really easy.
