Bugs (I think) that get me through the game

My first time through the game, I wouldn't have made it through Grout's house without the walkthrough because I never saw the switch under the fireplace. Other than that, I didn't have to cheat.

Last time through, as a Toreador, I raised my seduction and persuasion higher
than usual and got some interesting results. I won't go into them because that would turn into spoilers. For discipline, I focused on celerity, which is a great

I made this same reply to someone else who was crashing every time he tried to enter a particular area. I had the same problem entering Chinatown and solved it by deleting the appropriate file in vampire/maps/graphs. In your case, it might
be the sp_taxiride ...

oops -- wrong file

Correction on my last reply. I misread what you said. If you can't
get into Santa Monica, then the file to delete would be sm_hub_1.loc
or sm_hub_2.loc -- just delete any file that starts with sm_hub

possible solution

I had a similar problem with chinatown. I could never get into
the place without it crashing. I finally tried deleting the chinatown hub
file in Vampire\maps\graphs, and that worked. I haven't had the
problem since then.

Anyway, find the loc file, I think it's sp_taxiride.loc ...
